This is not how randomness works. Each block at a given level has the same exact probability of being a diamond. Changing direction has no effect on the likelihood of finding diamonds. This is like saying that if you flip a coin 10x in a row, and get heads, then the 11th flip is more likely to be heads than tails. But each flip is always going to be a 50% chance of heads or tails.
