Some random Bridge

Hey guys,

So I’ve been noticing that near Aerandir Silvaras there has been a very long bridge thats been forming over time thats starting to take up a lot of space. By bridge, i mean more a Stone Brick line that looks like its marking the area to build something. Thing is, it cuts right across the bay that my friends and I call home, and blocks off the entrance to the ocean. It’s a sea route that we all use often and it was blocked off. I tried waiting for an admin to be on but I never manage to be on at the same time as one, so i cut a path across it.

I know me and mine havent been on much but it’s summer, we spend most of our time at the beach on our time off, and work during the week. We all plan to be on more and more as the summer winds down and continue our builds along the coast.

With that in mind, as I still havent had the chance to see who it is thats been building it, I want to ask the person who is building this to please talk to me about

  1. Your plans
  2. If it can please be moved.

There is a bunch of us who settled on this bay months ago and if it really is the outline of massive build then please move it. If its a bridge then we can discuss how to better incorporate it with our builds and raise it so it doesnt block boats coming in and out.

This is the bridge and our break in it, with Lawlball’s house in the back ground (as you can see its quite close to our builds so this isnt an outrageous concern)

I think someone building a random stone brick line on YOUR property is considered griefing, I’m pretty sure you can just destroy it.

I rather discuss it with the person first rather than destroy his stuff and risk escalating things unnecessarily

Well, it is only a bunch of stone bricks in a line, you can easily get 10X the amount by mining with Silk Touch I.

That is an awfully large area to claim and outline with a 1 block wide stone line. first of all, it looks terrible… I think that type of thing should be discouraged… builds should generally try and fit in with the landscape more. Besides, a build that large is more likely to be abandoned than finished anyway. Regardless, their claim shouldn’t block the only water entrance to your area.

I’m glad you guys feel the same way. However, rather than tear it down and tell the guy “sucks to be you” and him rage quitting the server, I rather talk to him first, with maybe an admin or mod present, so we can explain it to the guy and not escalate things and risk losing a player. I like the server but try not to stir shit with people. I’ve heard there’s been recent drama and im glad I have no idea who is involved or what its about. So with that in mind, im hoping the player involved comes forth so we can discuss it properly. Thanks for the input guys!

Having a talk with the player and a mod would cause more drama, I mean seriously, it’s a stone brick line.

I’d honestly say remove it. Or just move it up by two.

Really hate when people put stuff just above the waterline when they could place it a little higher, and allow for boats.

I really agree with putting the bridges at least two blocks above water level. I really don’t like bridges that just hangs low right by the water. Piston bridges wouldn’t make a problem, though…
