Regions (AND Sub-Regions)

#1

Edit: Images are HERE they should be near the top. If not then scroll down until you see something like the dynmap.

Once the border expands when we update to 1.8 I’ll put a substantial amount of effort into making a much larger and very detailed map.
Also if you feel like it, you can make a map of your sub-region/states/territories/etc. and either message me it or post it as a reply. It will be linked in the list below.

Having a nether portal per region would be GREAT, so that the upper nether can be used for fast transport, while the lower nether will still be used for PvP !

Plus, having nether portal for all the regions would mean we don’t need to fight for the nether portal, since some regions are already packed with players and bases… I mean, my nether portal is now in synch with somebody else’s base for some reason…

Gaah, didn’t even think of the nether portals as transport. Thats what I get for not sleeping as much as I should.

So, a portal in the center (or as close as possible to) of each region would be a quick way of getting around, then maybe tunnels to get around the larger regions? Island regions have boats so there would be no need to worry about them.

That map is beautiful, zqfmbg153. I love the idea of having a nether (rail?) network for quick inter-regional transit.

… yeah, but look at the sheer size of IS-4 and tell me you want to drive a boat halfway across that

Do we want a separate transit network for linking the various arenas people are making, or would we just add them to regional transit?

Well you don’t HAVE to go to the center of each region, for example if you were at the far east end of IS4 you could go to RF1 or F3 and trek to the waters edge.

This map is great!

As the first people to settle in RF1, we hereby name the RF1 region “Aerandir Silvaras”. It’s elvish for “Land of the Rising Sun”. Thought it would be fitting since its the eastern most biome, and because most of our architecture is Elf inspired

We shall be known henceforth as the Silvari Kingdom!

As inhabitant of T2 of “The Valley” with my friend Habbs4, it has been decided that this Taiga will be called:
“The People’s Republic of Taiga” ! Glory to the Taiga!

Furthermore, I helped build the Hub to T2 (with Karasaar’s consent), and it is at “Overworld: x2252 z2870” (nether equivalent not yet built as I write this.)
This place shall be called “Awesome Bay” (because it is awesome), and a micro-hub has already been build:

I hope everything is ok with the admins

Updated map with more detailed borders and names.

#9

I’m one of the residents of T3, and I’ve been mulling over some names for the region. I was hoping to get in touch with some of the others that live in T3, but of the one or two that I know are there, they haven’t logged in lately.

As of right now, I’m thinking the name “Kredik Shaw” is what I’m going to go with. Sure, the biome isn’t a single hill, but the name fits, what with all the spruce.

#10

Bump for more region names?

#11

The Spawn region “FH3” has been without a name for quite some time and we’re going to clear this once and for all.
During the next 3 days we will be taking suggestions for a name and then we will have a vote on this forum to finally name this region that simply has too many people living in it to come to a consesus without such a vote.

#12

should be agent and jugglingman who pick the name of the region.

Could just be called Kingdom of Arcane though

#13

I live in FH1. Its mountains but not too mountain-y. I would like for it to be called ‘The Highlands’.

#14

spawn region: noob forest

#15

The Arcanium

#16

Enal

#17

“The Eternal Realm of Splawn”

Edit: Roleplay wise, it would be great.

#18

Arcana matata, it’s such a wonderful phrase.

#19

As the Supreme Warden of the Arcane Borders (self-given title), I hereby vote the spawn region be named “Arcana Matata.”

#20

The redrawn borders divides that region in half. Are you in the northern or southern side?
