Abandoned Buildings

I’m trying to finds rules on abandoned buildings but have yet to have any success. The question arose for me when I found a small little area had an ender portal with lots of chests a few of which are open to the public (and some enclosed villagers as well). I would like to see about using these items and destroying the portal as it interferes with mine which is not far but close enough that when I use my portal I end making another one closer to this area then actually ending up back at my base.

If there’s any way I can get help figuring out the rules for abandoned builds and whether or not there is a way to tell if it in fact actually is abandoned would be great. Thanks

Its always best to ask a mod. They can check and see who built it, and when they were last on. And they can remove the chest protections for you as well.

do /cinfo on the chest to see who owns it,

then do /seen NAME to see when that person was last on. If they’ve been gone more than 6 weeks then contact an admin or mod to confirm.
